PCC Supports Voluntary Sector

The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) attended an event organised by the Safer Future Communities network to bring together members of voluntary and community groups yesterday (22/01)

The event was a successful one with around 50 groups attending and getting the chance to question the PCC on his plans for the future and how he will effectively work with voluntary groups.

The PCC pledged his support to the voluntary sector and agreed to attend similar events twice a year.

Safer Future Communities network is run by OCVA and brings together voluntary and community groups across the ThamesValley to allow them to effectively communicate with the PCC.

Anthony Stansfeld said: "The voluntary sector are a vital part of reducing crime and absolutely critical in tackling drugs and alcohol, domestic violence and protecting vulnerable people."
