PCC Visits Safety Centre

The PCC visited the Safety Centre in Milton Keynes yesterday (06/02) to hear about their work and see them teach young people some important safety lessons.

The Safety Centre is an interactive education centre for children aged between 7 and 12 years old. The Centre delivers safety and crime prevention messages through interactive learning scenarios. The scenarios include fire safety, road safety, consequences of crime, internet safety and drugs awareness.

The Centre has 20,000 young people visit them a year from Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas.

Anthony Stansfeld said: I was most impressed by the Safety Centre and the work they do. It is a hugely useful tool to educate children in keeping safe and crime prevention."
