Background

At the end of March 2018 the PCC moved the referral service from a regional centre to an in-house (Office of the PCC run) Victims First Hub.

What does Victims First Hub provide?

The new hub receives referrals from the police, partners and self-referrals and contacts the victim. The staff discuss how the victim is feeling, what has happened, how the crime has impacted them and then work with the victim to refer them to an appropriate specialist service or provide phone support if that is appropriate.

The Hub also takes third party reports of hate crime both over the phone and via the Victims First website.

Contact Victims First

If you would like to refer yourself to Victims First you can do this by contacting 0300 1234 148 or by completing the online referral form on www.victims-first.org.uk
