Matthew Barber, Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, has today welcomed RESOLVE UK’s awareness week and discusses the role of his Crimefighters Strategy in tackling anti-social behaviour across Thames Valley.
Matthew Barber, Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, said: “This week is anti-social behaviour week, really important to recognise the harm that can be caused to communities by that low level incident that can really blight people’s lives.
“That’s why we’re investing more in CCTV, improving coverage across Thames Valley. I have put millions of pounds into working with local authorities to make sure that they tackle some of those issues on the ground as well as working closely with the police. As part of the Crimefighters strategy, we’re going to be doubling the number of neighbourhood police officers across Thames Valley. Together, we can tackle anti-social behaviour.”
