Both Thames Valley Police and the Police and Crime Commissioner are keen to promote transparency and openness.

There is a requirement under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 as enlarged on and amended by Statutory Instruments 2011 3050 and 2012 2479 (the Act) for Police and Crime Commissioners (PCC) and Chief Constables to publish information on spend, tender information and details of contracts.

Thames Valley Police operates all procurement under a set of policies and procedures, which can be found below:

Details of all spend over £500 is currently collated and published on our website.

Invitations to Tender (ITT)

Tender opportunities for Thames Valley Police may be viewed on the Emergency Services Tendering system.  This is a dynamic system that is continually updated with tender opportunities which allows organisations to register within specific areas of interest to receive email notification of new tender opportunities including those from other emergency services.

Important notice for all TVP current and future suppliers

We wish to bring to your attention the impending changes in public procurement regulations stemming from the United Kingdom’s departure from the European Union. The UK Government has crafted new legislation, notably the Procurement Act 2023, which necessitates adaptations in our procurement processes to align with the revised legal framework.

To aid in your understanding of these crucial developments, we encourage you to review the Supplier Guide to the Procurement Act 2023, accessible via the following link: Procurement Act 2023 Short Guide for Suppliers.

Additionally, comprehensive information regarding these changes can be found on the Transforming Public Procurement website, available at: Transforming Public Procurement.

In further support, we highly recommend engaging with the Supplier Knowledge Drops, designed by the Cabinet Office to assist you in navigating these regulatory adjustments. Access the Knowledge Drops via the following link: Official Transforming Public Procurement Knowledge Drops.

Your attention to these resources is paramount as we collectively adapt to ensure continued compliance and efficiency in our procurement endeavours.
