Matthew Barber, Thames Valley Police and Crime Commissioner, Matthew Barber, marks the start of National Road Safety Week.

Matthew Barber, Police & Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, said: “This week marks Brake’s Road Safety Week, highlighting the important work of our emergency services in improving safety and reducing casualties on our roads.

“In the Thames Valley, the Roads Policing Unit is a Joint Operation Unit with Hampshire which covers a vast network of roads – from smart motorways to the smallest of country lanes.

“Following a series of events held with key partners last year, I am currently working on a Road Safety Strategy to ensure that everyone can safely use our roads in the Thames Valley.”
