Annual crime education survey
As part of work to develop the Education Strategy, in April 2025 an online survey was shared with an estimated 1,200 education settings across the Thames Valley with 669 responses received (including 29 duplicate entries)
The survey gathered feedback on a range of areas including:
- Current engagement with TVP and where this could be improved;
- The key points for delivering crime education during a young person’s school journey;
- Knowledge of crime trends and the current areas of concern;
- Management of incidents and involvement of TVP within education settings;
- Barriers to delivering crime education;

Given the significant response to the online survey, there is a commitment from the PCC to run this on an annual basis.
