Support service for those affected by the terrorist attack in Tunisia

People in the Thames Valley injured in the attack in Tunisia, relatives of those who have been injured or those who have witnessed the attack can now receive emotional support.

Anybody who would like support can call a dedicated national helpline on 0808 28 111 36. Further help will then be available locally from the Police and Crime Commissioner’s service for victims, which is provided by Victim Support.

Anthony Stansfeld, Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley said: “The horrific events in Tunisia were a brutal attack on innocent holidaymakers and affected many British people.

“It is important that anybody who requires support to help them cope with from this terrible experience can access this support.

“This service will provide the victims of this crime with both immediate support and can also refer them onto more specialist help if they require it.

“Those affected by major incidents do not always recognise immediately that they need help so this service will be available both at this time and at anytime in the future for anybody who needs it.”
