Visit to Bracknell and Wokingham College
The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), Anthony Stansfeld, visited Bracknell and Wokingham College last week (21/05).
The visit gave him an opportunity to see the college and speak to students currently studying on the Uniformed Public Services course.
The PCC also gave a talk to the students about his role and the work he has done so far.
Anthony Stansfeld, the Police and Crime Commissioner said: ”It was a very interesting visit, and I was delighted to be able to meet students studying Uniformed Public Services and have the opportunity to give a talk to them. It is a most impressive college with a wide range of skills being taught.”
Campbell Christie, Principal and Chief Executive of Bracknell & Wokingham College said: “Mr Stansfeld kindly gave a talk to one of our groups about his role as Police and Crime Commissioner which they listened to intently. Another of our groups were taking part in a role-play based around the search of a suspicious person over an explosives find with a subsequent arrest. Mr Stansfeld was able to take part in the feedback session on the exercise which gave it a lot more reality.
“All of this was of great benefit to the students who were able to put a face to someone they had read about in their studies, and they were grateful for the time spent with them.”
